Since a young age, Johann has been immersed in woodworking, a passion that has driven his family for generations.
His father, known for his “standing wood” spirit—a term among craftsmen referring to carpenters who work wood upright for strong joints and to raise structures high—instilled in him a deep respect for the trade.
His grandfather, in turn, was a “coucou,” a member of the roofer’s guild, a designation tracing back to the Middle Ages within the tradition of craftsmen’s guilds.
Unlike family businesses that inherit an established structure, Johann created Beauvery Charpente from scratch, surrounding himself with a team of collaborators who share his values of solidarity, honesty, and a commitment to hard work.
This team, trained in the discipline and artistry of the craft, supports Johann in every project, ensuring that each detail is meticulously attended to.
